AIS and Red Bull Open Thailand's Largest University-Level Battle Arena with the "AIS 5G eSports U Series Thailand Championship 2024 by Red Bull" Bringing Together 10 Leading Educational Institutions to Drive the Thai eSports Industry Forward.

AIS continues to drive the gaming and eSports industry forward by partnering with Red Bull to create a platform for gamers and eSports athletes to showcase their talents. The "AIS 5G eSports U Series Thailand Championship 2024 by Red Bull" is the largest university-level eSports competition in Thailand. This year, AIS has collaborated with more than 10 leading educational institutions nationwide, with additional support from top brands such as Mama, Tros, and Belink Media. Together, they aim to elevate the industry to international standards and identify young talents with dreams of becoming professional eSports athletes. The competition offers scholarships totaling over 150,000 THB.

Rungtip Jarusiripipat, Acting Head of the Game and Partner Service Management AIS, stated, "Today, the growth of the gaming industry in Thailand continues to rise, with over 42 million gamers in the country, 85% of whom are mobile gamers. Additionally, there are 6.4 million eSports viewers, a figure that highlights the potential and opportunities to support and elevate the gaming and eSports industry in Thailand. This growth aligns with our mission to drive the Digital Economy by collaborating with partners through various approaches, including providing platforms for young eSports enthusiasts to showcase their talents.

For this year’s "AIS 5G eSports U Series Thailand Championship 2024 by Red Bull," the game ROV will once again be the focus of the competition. The tournament will feature representatives from 10 universities, each fielding one team: Thammasat University, Bangkok University, Mahidol University, Kasetsart University (Bang Khen Campus), Sripatum University, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. Additionally, 6 more teams will be selected through an OPEN round, allowing students from universities nationwide to compete. A total of 16 teams will advance to the national finals.
