AIS Confirms Network Readiness to Facilitate Thais in Offering Congratulations to His Majesty the King on the Auspicious Occasion of His 72nd Birthday on July 28, 2024.

AIS Confirms Communication Network Readiness to Facilitate the Public Traveling to Join the Celebrations, Including Government-Organized Activities to Offer Congratulations to His Majesty the King at Key Landmark Locations in Each Province Nationwide. On the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 72nd Birthday on July 28, 2024, which will be celebrated grandly, AIS has prepared to accommodate a more than 39% increase in communication usage during the event. Temporary signal distribution points have been installed, along with AIS WiFi service points, and mobile base stations have been deployed to ensure that customers and Thais can communicate and follow information smoothly and efficiently on all platforms.

Mr. Kitti Ngarmchatetanarom Chief Technology Officer AIS, stated, “On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024, AIS is fully committed to showing our loyalty by preparing our network and communication systems to their fullest capacity. This ensures that government agencies and the general public can communicate seamlessly in every form, whether by voice or via the internet, to share images and follow information about this significant national celebration.”

“Therefore, our engineering team has been deployed to key event locations in every province across the country to study usage data compared to normal periods and during ceremonial events, including various celebratory activities. It is anticipated that the peak usage period, especially between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, will exceed normal levels. With this information, our team can analyze and plan to manage the network at the celebration sites effectively and efficiently, doubling the capacity. We have reinforced our technical staff to be on standby 24 hours a day, installed additional temporary base stations to support 4G and 5G networks, and set up AIS WiFi service points (in some areas). We are also prepared with mobile base stations to quickly enhance network capacity. All of this is to ensure that Thais can express their loyalty smoothly and seamlessly."
