Request for temporary suspension of trading of securities

-Translation- AIS-CP 014/2006 January 23, 2006 Re: Request for temporary suspension of trading of securities To: President The Stock Exchange of Thailand Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited ("the Company") as a subsidiary of Shin Corporation Public Company Limited ("SHIN") which SHIN holds 42.82% of the paid up capital of the Company. The major shareholders of SHIN, comprised of Miss Pintongta Shinawatra, Mr. Bhanapot Damapong, Mr. Phantongtae Shinawatra, Miss Yingluck Shinawatra and Mrs. Busaba Damapong, have sold 1,487,740,120 shares, equal to 49.595% of paid up capital, of SHIN to Cedar Holdings Limited ("Cedar") and Aspen Holdings Limited ("Aspen") on January 23, 2006 at the price of Baht 49.25. However, Cedar and Aspen have announced to the public by way of informing the Company that Cedar and Aspen will make a Voluntary Tender Offer for all securities of the Company. The Company considers that this information is significant and may affect to the price of the shares of the Company and the decision making of shareholders and investors. Therefore, to provide enough time for shareholders and investors to analyze this information, the Company would request for temporary suspension of trading of securities from 14.30 to 16.30 on January 23, 2006. Moreover, the Company will pass the information regarding the sale of SHIN's ordinary shares and the making of a voluntary tender offer by Cedar an Aspen to the consideration of the Board of directors' meeting for further consideration of taking any actions in connection with the aforesaid incident. And the Company will inform shareholders, investors and the Stock Exchange of Thailand promptly. It is hereby requested for further proceeding.
