September 8, 1999 Re: Clarify the news concerning ADVANC's investment for the year 2000 According to the news that Advanced Info Service Plc. (ADVANC) will expand its investment in GSM network for the year 2000 of approximately Baht 10 billion and look for the funds from debt instrument of approximately Baht 6-7 billion. The Company would like to clarify that the aforementioned investment is from the preliminary study and the final plan will be proposed for approval by the Company's executive committee by the end of this year. In case the Company gets an approval, part of the funds will be provided by the cash on hand and cash flow from operations. In case that the Company needs additional source of funds, the Company will consider from the debt instrument as priority due to the current low debt to equity ratio of 0.8 to 1.
