AIS 00557/1998 8 December, 1998 Re : Acquisition of Ordinary Shares of Shinawatra Datacom Limited Advanced Info Service Public Company Limited (ADVANC) had acquired ordinary shares of Shinawatra Datacom Limited (SDC) from Bangkok Telecom Engineering Limited (BTE) on December 8, 1998 totaling 6,418,974 shares amounting baht 51,267,628. The acquisition had increased ADVANCs holding in SDC from previously 6,300,000 shares or 13.77% to a new holding of 12,718,974 shares or 27.80% of its registered capital. SDC provides data communication service via telephone line (DATANET) This acquisition of ADVANC, the size of the transaction does not fall into any category of the notification of the Stock Exchange of Thailand with regards to the guideline, methodology and the disclosure of a listed companys acquisition or divestiture.
