RE : ADVANCs purchase of Shinawatra Wireless Marketing Co. Ltd.s shares According to the board of directors of Advanced Info Service Plc. (ADVANC) at the meeting held on November 12, 1998, the board has passed the resolution to purchase the shares of Shinawatra Wireless Marketing Co. Ltd. (SWM) from Shinawatra Computer and Communications Plc. (SHIN) for 23,999,994 shares with the total amount of not more than 700 million Baht. ADVANC now would like to inform that its management has already approved the purchase of SWMs shares at the value of 600 million Baht. Nonetheless, prior to the execution, this transaction needs to be approved by ADVANCs shareholders in the meeting which will be held on December 18, 1998.
