AIS announces postponement of the Annual General Meeting of shareholders (AGM) due to COVID-19 and announces interim dividend in replacement of proposing annual dividend

26 March 2020 : Mr.Somchai Lertsuttiwong, CEO of Advanced Info Service Plc. Disclosed “ Due to the 2019 Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the government has requested that the private sector consider postponing activities that involve large gathering of people which is key risk to virus transmission. With due consideration of the changing situation each week as well as risk and safety of all AGM’s attendees and staff, the Board of Directors has the resolution to postpone the AGM previously scheduled on 30 March 2020 at 2pm at Centara Grand Central Plaza Ladprao until further notice. The company will inform the shareholders of a new AGM date when the situation is resolved and appropriate.

In order not to affect the right to receive dividend of shareholders, the Board of Directors also approve the interim dividend at the same rate of 3.56 Baht per share, in replacement of proposing annual dividend at the AGM. The record date for the right to received dividend remained the same on 20 February 2020, and the payment date remained on 22 April 2020.

“The company would like to apologize for the postponement of the AGM until further notice. This will not have any significant impact on the company’s business operation or the shareholders’ right to receive the dividend. The company continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation as well as the announcement of the Department of Disease Control under the Ministry of Public Health and the Stock Exchange of Thailand or any other government’s measures. The company will further inform shareholders of a new AGM date as soon as appropriate” Mr.Somchai endorsed.
